DEsign Tools of Artificial Intelligence in Sustainability Living LabS (DETAILLs)

DETAILLs aims to increase the number of HE students capable of designing sustainable products with AI and sustainability focus, through a new Living Lab model (DETAILLs Living Lab) . Objectives include leveraging AI for data-driven decisions, promoting sustainability, and increasing skills, relationships, awareness, and sustainable processes. The project emphasizes a focus on sustainability, AI, and practical implementation for designing sustainable products.

RETOS-INDIGENIUS: Inspirando Futuros STEM

Este proyecto busca acercar y difundir el conocimiento de las carreras en ciencias, tecnologías, ingeniería y matemáticas (STEM) a los niños, niñas y jóvenes de pueblos originarios o indígenas que cursen la educación básica y media superior a través de retos y charlas que inspiren a seguir estas carreras.
Los retos se enfocarán principalmente en las disciplinas STEM, además en las charlas se pretende incentivar el empoderamiento, la inclusión y la inspiración a jóvenes de pueblos originarios a seguir la educación superior en carreras STEM. Las acciones se abordarán desde una perspectiva de género.

Training SEN teachers to use robotics for fostering STEAM and develop computational thinking (RoboSTEAMSen)

Our current society demands professionals with XXI competences. STEAM disciplines have shown to be specially relevant to facilitate their acquisition.However in such disciplines the inclusion of mentally disabled students is very difficult. RoboSTEAmSEN aims to support educational processes by providing mentally disabled students teachers with methodologies and tools for fostering STEAM and facilitating the acquisition of computational thinking by using Robotics and Active Learning Methodologies.

Skills In DEmentia CARe. Exchanging psychosocial knowledge and best practice in dementia care (SIDECAR)

SIDECAR is an Erasmus+ strategic partnership aimed at developing a new transnational curriculum of HE programs relevant to the labor marker of dementia care assistance. The aim will be fulfilled by disseminating the knowledge that has been acquired in decades of scientific research carried out in Europe, but that is not present in any academic curricula circulating nowadays or that characterizes the job expertise owned by actual health professionals.

Integrating steam and computational thinking development by using robotics and physical devices (RoboSTEAM)

We live in a digital society that needs new better prepared professionals for the new challenges and opportunities provided by the ICT. Students must learn how to deal with all the issues that emerge in this new context. They should acquire computational thinking skills by integrating STEAM, however this needs for changes in current learning curricula and also new learning approaches. RoboSTEAM project deals with this issue by the application of a Challenge Based Learning approach that uses Robotics and Physical Devices.

Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing among Young People through Yoga (HIPPOCAMPUS)

One of the key challenges in effective work with young people is their frequent lack of engagement, a characteristic that many of those who spend time with adolescents (youth workers, parents, teachers) can attest to. Proposed solutions frequently fail to address core issues relating to the intrinsic motivation of the individual, which is directly related to well-being. Many young people suffer from chronic stress and other issues that inhibit the functioning (and indeed the development) of the prefrontal cortex, and this also affects their intrinsic motivation to engage in any activity. In short, unless their well-being is addressed, they cannot engage effectively.

Ante el envejecimiento que sufre Europa, del que las zonas rurales de Castilla y León es un gran exponente con una media superior a la del resto de España con personas de 65 o más años, se presenta una situación en la que las personas mayores dependientes viven en sus casas y son atendidos no solo por su cónyuge u otro miembro de la familia sino también por vecinos o amigos quienes ejercen el papel de cuidador informal, no siendo remunerados por ello.
